The bomb squad is currently sweeping through Rush Limbaugh's Palm Beach home after a suspicious package was discovered on scene.
According to local reports, Limbaugh's security team discovered the package and notified authorities.
4:55 PM PST -- Crisis over ... almost.
Cops sound convinced the package isn't dangerous ... despite the fact it had an electronic plaque and wires.
Officials say the sender has been identified as a person in Pennsylvania.. The sender apologized for the suspicious packaging, but insisted it was NOT a bomb.
Cops say they have not determined if the package will be destroyed.

Comedian Patrice O'Neal died Tuesday morning ... as a result of a stroke he suffered back in October ... this according to his friends at the "Opie and Anthony" radio show.
O'Neal had been a staple in the comedy world for years -- and performed at the "Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen" back in September.
O'Neal was a regular guest on the "Opie and Anthony" radio show -- and appeared on several TV shows such as "Chappelle Show," "The Office," and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn."
Opie just tweeted, "Yes it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker I've ever known PERIOD."
O'Neal was 41.
10:33 AM PST -- Patrice's rep, Matt Frost, tells TMZ ... "It is with terrible sadness we must report that Patrice O’Neal has passed away this morning at 7:00 AM due to the complications of the stroke he suffered on October 19."
Frost adds, "Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius. His mother, who was also his best friend, was at his side. Patrice is survived by his wife, Vondecarlo; his step daughter Aymilyon, sister Zinder, and his mother Georgia."

Father and son were arrested by the uniformed division of the U.S. Secret Service ... but he's currently being booked into a D.C. police station.
George Clooney and his father Nick have been arrested in Washington, D.C. during a protest over the Sudan crisis.
Clooney was leading a protest in front of the Sudanese embassy in D.C. when he was hauled away by secret service agents.
Clooney's publicist Stan Rosenfield tells TMZ, "They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world."
Sources connected with George tell us he feels good about the arrest because it puts the spotlight on the crisis. Moments before the arrest, George was mobbed by reporters (below) -- claiming, he was protesting to raise awareness about the "Sudanese government committing atrocities on their own people."
We're told a dozen people got arrested including congressmen, leaders of the human rights community, Sudanese citizens, Martin Luther King III and George's father ... Nick Clooney.
